Dominiq Data Deletion Policy

Quick delete (recommended)

Sign in, open Settings, and use Delete my data. This removes your watchlists and search history immediately. To also delete the account itself (email + password hash), email us using the procedure below.

Step-by-step

Dominiq does not require registration and does not store personal user data on the server. Searches are processed transiently and not tied to an account. If you believe we hold data about you, email privacy@dominiq.app with subject "Delete my data".

What gets deleted from our servers

  • Domain and brand watchlist entries
  • Search history (brand, trademark, handle, aftermarket lookups)
  • Per-account preferences
  • On full account deletion: your email address and password hash

Deletion is irreversible.

What gets deleted from your device

  • Sign-in session and auth tokens (cleared on sign-out)
  • The "research-only disclaimer acknowledged" flag in local storage
  • Any cached page data your browser kept

You can also clear these manually via your browser's site-data settings.

What is not deleted by the in-app tool

A. Email correspondence

If you've emailed us (support, privacy requests, security reports), those messages live in our mailbox. Email privacy@dominiq.app with subject "Delete my correspondence" and we'll purge them.

B. Anonymous caches

We cache RDAP / DNS / aftermarket lookups for short periods to keep the app fast. These caches are keyed by domain — not by your account — and rotate automatically within 30–48 hours.

C. Operational logs

Server logs (IP, request path, timestamp) are kept for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention, then rotated automatically.

D. Database backups

Encrypted backups may retain deleted rows for up to 30 days before being overwritten. They are not used for any other purpose.

If you don't have an account

Browsing public pages (home, about, legal) does not create an account and does not store personal data tied to you beyond short-lived server logs, which rotate automatically. There is nothing to delete on your behalf. If you previously emailed us, see "Email correspondence" above.

GDPR & CCPA / CPRA

EU/UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR) and California residents (CCPA / CPRA) can exercise their deletion rights either through the in-app tool above or by email. Put "GDPR Data Deletion Request" or "CCPA Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.
